I love hearing back from those who own my customs and learning about their debuts in local model horse shows. Hearing updates on how my models are placing for you sparks my creativity! Please feel free to reach out any time and brag about the customs I have painted that are doing well in the show ring. I would love to add them to my "Bits and Breyers Studio Hall of Fame!"

Learn a little more about Model Horse Showing
According to Breyer Model Horse's Official Site, "in a model horse show, participants show their model horses in the same way a person might show a real, living horse. Models are entered in either “halter” or “performance” classes and experienced judges review and judge each entry based on specific criteria."
Most model horse shows allow customs to be shown in both Breed and Workmanship classes. This means that they are judged based on how well the model fits the breed the shower has assigned them (Breed Classes) and how well the model is painted and customized (Workmanship Classes).
At National Level Qualifying model horse shows, First and Second place models for each class receive a "NAN Card" which qualifies the model to advance onto the highly competitive national show that is held annually. At local shows, ribbons are awarded and sometimes small prizes for division champions. At larger shows, like those hosted by Breyer, limited edition prize models can be won.
